Sustainability Policy

High Cove Ltd is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its construction activities and to operating responsibly across its projects. This policy sets out the commitments through which we work toward that, and applies to all our operations, employees, and sites.

Our commitments

  • Reduce waste on site through careful planning, reuse, and recycling, following the waste hierarchy.
  • Encourage suppliers and subcontractors to adopt responsible environmental practices where our procurement decisions allow.
  • Source materials and services through reputable suppliers, recognising that some materials are provided by third parties outside our direct control.
  • Improve energy efficiency across our operations and in project design and material specification.
  • Comply with all relevant UK environmental legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act 1990, and keep our practices under review as standards evolve.
  • Minimise water usage and take measures to prevent pollution to land, air, and watercourses during construction activities.
  • Protect and, where possible, enhance biodiversity and natural habitats affected by our projects.
  • Support the wellbeing of our workforce, subcontractors, and local communities through fair and ethical working practices.

Ongoing improvements

  • Review this policy annually to reflect new regulations, industry best practice, and our own progress.
  • Welcome feedback from clients, employees, and partners on how we can improve.
